Ballet Nebraska enhances the community:

outreach landing Cultural Enrichment – As the region’s professional dance company, Ballet Nebraska fills a unique position in the cultural landscape – bringing talented performing artists, acclaimed choreographers, and experienced teachers to the community. These resident artists hail from around the nation and abroad.

Youth Participation – Ballet Nebraska offers exciting educational opportunities for young dancers to perform youth roles in its productions. Additionally, Ballet Nebraska II and Repertory Ensemble programs provide mentorship to young dancers and bring outreach performances to locations such as hospitals and nursing homes.

School Shows – Ballet Nebraska partners with educators to bring young people to special student matinee performances of its professional shows, reaching over 7,000 students annually through education programs.

Workshops – Ballet Nebraska’s artists conduct workshops in conjunction with schools and community partners – providing a fun, interactive and educational experience that creates a lasting impression.

Tickets for the Underserved – Ballet Nebraska provides outreach tickets and learning opportunities for underserved members of the community through its partnerships with 23 social service agencies, reaching hundreds of individuals each season who may not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy dance performances. Partners include Boys Town, Child Saving Institute, Heartland Family Service, and many others.

Community Partnerships – Ballet Nebraska increases its impact in the community through collaborations with other leading organizations. Partners include Joslyn Art Museum, Omaha Performing Arts, Iowa Western Arts Center, Opera Omaha, and Omaha Symphony.
