AMB Junior Company

AMB Junior Company auditions for 2018-19 are May 18.

Advanced student dancers age 14+ interested in auditioning for a place in American Midwest Ballet’s AMB Junior Company may register register here.

American Midwest Ballet’s AMB Junior Company is a student company comprised of a select group of highly motivated pre-professional dance students training for future professional careers or advanced dance studies. Members are chosen by audition each season by Erika Overturff, founder and artistic director of American Midwest Ballet.

Student dancers of AMB Junior Company gain exposure to professional ballet company life, with opportunities to study with artistic staff, learn company repertoire, and improve technique and artistry.

AMB Junior Company is a tuition-based program paid at the beginning of each of two 10-week terms.

Term 1 – Ten weeks (Fall/Winter)
Term 2 -Ten weeks (Winter/Spring)

AMB Junior Company members have danced student roles alongside American Midwest Ballet company members in our professional productions of Swing, Swing, Swing!, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Dracula, Snow White, Cleopatra, Sadako, Party Animals, Giselle and Swan Lake.  AMB Junior Company members also perform student roles in The Nutcracker at the Orpheum Theater and Iowa Western Arts Center.

Dancers from all studios are welcome to audition.
