American Midwest Ballet’s new website goes live Friday, June 1

May 29, 2018 — OMAHA — American Midwest Ballet’s newly redesigned website [amballet.org] is scheduled to go live on June 1.

Artistic director Erika Overturff says the new site will include profiles of the company’s artists for the 2018-19 season.  This season’s roster includes 28 dancers from 19 different states around the country.

“We’re eager to showcase some of the dynamic new photos taken by company photographer, Jim Williams,” says Overturff. “Our dancers are so beautiful and athletic. I am pleased our new site will highlight their strength and grace.”

While the old [Ballet Nebraska] site still feels familiar and nostalgic, Overturff says it was originally designed when the company was first formed nearly a decade ago.

“The new American Midwest Ballet website reflects where we are as a company, now,” she says.  “I think everyone will be pleased when it is finally revealed.”

The excitement surrounding the company’s ninth season — its first as American Midwest Ballet –  has been overwhelmingly positive.

“Season Nine is already taking shape,” says Overturff. “Costume construction and choreography are already underway!”

Season subscriptions for all three main stage productions in American Midwest Ballet’s 2018-19 season are on sale now through Sept. 1.
